Lauren Fosta
age: 19
city:Chicago
area of interest: Fashion

Hey.
I met up with my girl Lauren to do her feature on my blog. She's a sophomore at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago studying Fashion Design about three stops away from my own school on the trains. We met about 3 years ago in a studio art class insisting on hating everything about life. Since then we've become a bit of an ensemble, and the best of friends.

I sat down with Lauren at her State Street dorm just after we met up with a couple of friends from High School. One of them, Zachary Schorsch (dancer at the University of Wisconsin) had just finished his in the moment go-go dancer routine and drinks were all around.

What are you wearing right now?
Zara leather leggings, This shirt's Jordan's, my brother. I cut the neck myself, its an over-sized black thermal, and DSW buckle heel.

3 brands you love.
I love love love la Maison du Martin Margiela... Balmain, and uh I don't know Rick Owens I guess- No wait, I really like Rei Kawakubo.

Do you get inspiration from the clothes you wear?
In a sense but not really... I'm going to SAIC so I have to think a little more conceptually. And I do feel like  my designs will get/are getting more conceptual. But I'm still gonna be very Ready-Wear based.

Lay-Lo Originals

Greetings from the Future.

Hey.
Happy New Year! So my friends and I have been joking around with the idea of "New Year, New Me". We've been brainstorming new fashions trends, different hairstyles, and cool makeup we would like to try out for the new year.
Here are my top 5 style hopefuls for 2014:

5. Kimonos
I'm a cozy person with a flare for 1970's style. It would be nice to portray that on cooler days.

4. Geographic Geometric
A big trend for Spring 2014 is traditional tribal wear. From Givenchy to Alexander McQueen everybody's hopping on the ethnic bandwagon.

3. Red Hair
So sure, red hair was a bit of a 2010 Rihanna post-abuse thing, but I'm getting major inspiration from model Sabina Karlsson natural more orange tinted hair. Its fiery without being ridiculous and a total statement maker.

2.Designer Makeup
There have been a ton of designer makeup brands just popping out the blue with their overpriced pallets and gorgeous lipsticks. I feel like owing just a Dior bronzer would make me feel like a super rich bitch.

1. Snapbacks.
Or any hat really. At the end of last year I became pretty dependent on beanies once I found out how to fit them on my head (curly hair problem).

I'm pretty sure those Ea$y Money Hats are on sale for 20% percent off their original price at their website, Link Above.
Have a fabulous New Year, dolls!
